Today is Thanksgiving Day in the United States and it is a public holiday. People give thanks for the harvest and traditionally eat turkey and pumpkin pie. [Pumpkin = zucca.] In the USA Thanksgiving is celebrated on the fourth Thursday in November whilst in Canada it is celebrated on the second Monday in October.
