DAYS IN MONTHS RHYME

 Do you know this very old, English rhyme about the number of days in each month?

Thirty days hath September,
April, June, and November;
All the rest have thirty-one,
Save February, with twenty-eight days clear,
And twenty-nine in each leap year.

"Hath" is an archaic form of "has".

A leap year comes every four years and contains an extra day which is February 29th.  According to tradition, a woman can propose marriage to a man on this day.  This tradition may have begun in Ireland.  The next leap year is 2012.
