Here is a traditional poem about another bird, the cuckoo [cuculo in Italian]:
The cuckoo comes in April,
and stays the month of May,
Then in June she changes tune,
In July she flies away.
To change your tune has become an idiom, meaning "to change your opinion completely".
In 1965 the singer and composer Paul Simon wrote a song inspired by this poem:
Paul Simon - April, Come She Will
Every year in Britain people write letters to the Times newspaper to tell other readers that they think they have heard the first cuckoo of spring.
