Notes:

Bride - the woman who is getting married [la sposa].
Groom or bridegroom - the man who is getting married [lo sposo].
Bridesmaid - a girl or young, unmarried woman who helps the bride [la damigella d'onore].
Best man - the groom's best friend or brother, who helps the groom on the day.  He has to look after the ring and make a speech at the reception.
